Career :
Started playing basketball with Galatasaray’s junior team, Kerem Tunçeri played for the same club between 1996 and 2000. Later, signing with Efes Pilsen, Tunçeri embarked on a remarkable run with his new team. Signing with Ülker in the 2004-05 season and then Beşiktaş in the following season, Tunçeri joined Real Madrid in the 2006-2007 season. Spending two years as a member of Real Madrid, he joined Triumph Lyubertsy of Russia in the 2008-09 season and then signed with Efes Pilsen again in January 2009.Tunçeri played a total of 31 games in the Beko Basketball League during the last season and averaged 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He also played 16 games in the last season’s Turkish Airlines Euroleague, averaging 9.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists.As a member of Efes Pilsen, he won the Turkish League championship title in the 2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04 and 2008-09 seasons, the Turkish Cup in the 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2008-09 seasons, and the Presidential Cup in both the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He also won the Turkish Cup in the 2004-05 season as a member of Ülker. In 2007, he played a key role in Real Madrid’s ULEB Cup and Spanish ACB championships in 2006.Kerem Tunçeri, who has been selected to the Turkish Senior National Team on many occasions, led the National Team to the final game with his last-second lay-up shot in the game against Serbia during the 2010 World Basketball Championship. He also played for the Senior National Team during the 2011 European Basketball Championship.
