In day four game of THY Euroleague Top 16 E Group Anadolu Efes lost to Olympiacos by 67-65 and Anadolu Efes’ General Manager Engin Özerhun stated that Olympiakos game was a big disappointment for them.
Özerhun said: “It was impossible to win for us as we could not play in entire game the way we did in the last two minutes. We should never have stopped the challenge in the Olympiacos game. We lost the ball possession very easily. The opponent also had so many losses but we were not supposed to perform so in our home. We should have scored better in free throws. When you cannot perform them, it is impossible to win. We were in distress as it was a game we had to win but this cannot be an excuse. These players have no right to be in such distress. We were not expecting to lose against Olympiacos here in Istanbul. It was a big disappointment for us. We suffered unexpected losses in phase one of Euroleague. Each was a sign. We had a good opportunity in drawing in terms of both group and the rivals in the next phase. But we could not seize this opportunity...”
