TAKE THE FIRST STEP WITH EFES; BE THE STARS OF THE BOARDS!
The registration process for “First Step with Efes Basketball Schools” which were organized in cooperation between the Youth and Sport General Administration and Efes Pilsen Sports Club, which has been offering basketball loving children trainings of basketball free of charge for five years, between 19 October - 25 October, in 33 centeers including 31 provinces including Cyprus, was conducted.
The registration process of basketball school, which started to offer training in November was conducted between 18:00-20:00 on week days and 09:00-18:00 at weekends in the training centres. So far 15 thousand children have received training from specialist trainers free of charge in “First Step with Efes Basketball Schools”, which has completed five years and starting its sixth year.
From its date of foundation in 2004 to the present day, “First Step with Efes Basketball Schools” which offered free training all over Turkey continues to offer free basketball training in its sixth year in 33 centres including 31 provinces such as Adana, Adapazarı, Aksaray, Amasya, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Çankırı, Çorlu Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Giresun, Hakkari, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Karabük, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Konya, Lefkoşa, Mersin, Muğla, Samsun, Sivas, and Trabzon.
Durul Candemir, Efes Public Relations Manager, stated that : ““First Step with Efes Basketball Schools”, offering training programmes not only to children but also to the authorised technical staff aims to make children love basketball as a sport in Turkey and to provide an opportunity for the deprived children to play basketball, with Efes Pilsen Sports Club’s specialist training staff of 80 people and with the support of infrastructure of Youth and Sports Administration.”
